The State of Israel is planning to build the country's first waste incineration plant in Ne'ot Hovav. In addition to the waste incineration plant, the project also includes a waste treatment plant and the aging of the produced slag.
Our task is the overall planning as international expert for Yoav Yinon Management Engineering Technology.
Renewal of emission measurements at MHKW Solingen
The Technische Betriebe Solingen (TBS) are planning the age-related replacement of the clean gas emission measurements in the two flue gas cleaning lines in its waste-to-energy plant. Our task is the planning and preparation of the tender documents as well as participation in the awarding of the contract.
Conversion of an SNCR system in a waste incineration plant
In the Zorbau waste incineration plant, the new construction of the existing SNCR systems (selective non-catalytic reduction) in the two incineration lines is planned in order to comply with the limit values of the updated 17th BImSchV.
Our tasks are the basic engineering, the preparation of the permit application, the preparation of tender documents, the participation in the award of contracts, the design review and the construction supervision.
Replacement of slag crane system at Solingen waste-to-energy plant
The Technische Betriebe Solingen (TBS) are planning the age-related replacement of the slag crane in its waste-to-energy plant. Our task is the planning and preparation of the tender documents as well as participation in the awarding of the contract.
Energy Production Center Chalampé (EPCC)
Construction of a new RDF cogeneration plant (80 MWth) to supply the chemical site of Alsachimie in Chalampé (France) with high-pressure steam. RDF (Refuse Derived Fuel) is used as fuel. Client and operator is the B+T Group.
Our task is being the Project manager and Construction Supervisor of Sweco GmbH.
Rail replacement in the slag bunker of the Solingen waste-to-energy plant
Due to their age, the rails in the slag bunker at the Solingen waste-to-energy plant have to be replaced. Special attention has to be paid to the fact that for the two incineration lines only one crane system is installed and therefore the time for the exchange of the rails is strongly limited.
Our task is the general planning of the rail exchange.
Neubau RRA 1 (neu) at the MHKW Solingen
The Technische Betriebe Solingen (TBS) are planning the construction of a new flue gas cleaning system (RRA 1) as an age-related replacement for the existing flue gas cleaning systems. The flue gas cleaning system will be designed as a quasi-dry system for a flue gas volume flow of 90,000 Nm³/h.

New construction of Line 2 in the RDF-CHP-plant Spremberg
A second combustion line is to be installed in the RDF-combined heat and power plant Spremberg in order to supply the neighbouring paper mill with additional steam.

The Technische Betriebe Solingen (TBS) are intending the age-related refurbishment of the waste bunker and the slag bunker in their Waste-to-Energy plant. Our tasks are planning, preparing the tender documents, assisting in the awarding of the contract and supervising the construction.
New flue gas cleaning system at the Papenburg biomass incineration plant
B+S Papenburg Energie GmbH is planning to replace the existing flue gas cleaning system due to its age. The flue gas cleaning system will be designed as a quasi-dry system for a flue gas volume flow of 155,000 Nm³/h, taking into account the current limit values.

Retrofit of an SNCR-installation in a biomass cogeneration plant
In the biomass cogeneration plant Garath, the retrofitting of an SNCR-installation (selective non-catalytic reduction) to comply with the limits of the 44th BImSchV values (Federal emission standards) is planned.
Our task is the Basic Engineering, the elaboration of the permit application, the elaboration of tender documents as well as the Project Management for Sweco GmbH.
CO2 capture in a biomass combustion plant
The operator of a biomass combustion plant is planning to build a plant to capture carbon dioxide from the flue gas of the CHP plant.
As part of a plant master plan, our task is to create a concept plan including the planning of the thermal integration into the overall plant.
Replacement of eight bivalent burners
In a heating plant in Garath, the existing burners of district heating boilers are to be replaced by new burners that comply with the current limit values. Our task is to prepare the approval and permit notifications as well as the tender documents.

New construction of a 600 MWel gas turbine power plant in Poland
A gas turbine power plant with an electrical output of approx. 600 MW is being built in the town of Grudziądz in the Polish voivodeship of Kujawsko-Pomorskie. The plant will be realized as a combined cycle gas turbine plant (CCGT) and is scheduled to go into operation in 2025.
Our task is to support Sweco Polska sp. z o.o. as Contract Engineer.
Notification of approval according to §15 BImSchG
In a heating plant in Ratingen, a CHP engine is replaced and a hot water boiler is converted to bivalent firing. For both units, the permissible maximum temperature is reduced to below 110 °C, so that the plants no longer fall within the scope of DIN EN 12953 and the corresponding specifications of the Ordinance on Industrial Safety and Health.
Our task is the elaboration of the two permit notifications for the two operating companies.
New construction of a 600 MWel combined cycle plant
An investor in North Rhine-Westphalia is planning to build a gas-fired gas and steam turbine plant (CCGT) to support the electrical grid.
We are supporting Sweco GmbH in preparing the Basic Engineering including thermodynamic simulation and cost calculation as well as the scoping paper.
Renewal of Kaplan turbines
The operator of a power plant in North Rhine-Westphalia is planning to replace two Kaplan turbines due to their age. The Kaplan turbines are used to generate electricity from the cooling water discharged from the power plant.
Our task is to prepare the necessary approval documents and the new P&I diagrams including coding according to the KKS system.
Support in the event of a fire
At the waste-to-energy plant of Technische Betriebe Solingen (TBS), a fire broke out in the burner area of the MK 3 waste boiler. The fire caused extensive damage to the periphery of the waste boiler (e.g. burner, fans, SNCR system, Agam, housing, elevator).
We supported TBS in the procurement of new plant components, the preparation of approval notifications and project management as Sweco GmbH's project manager.
Renewal of a water treatment plant
A demineralization plant is installed in the Garath heating plant to treat the make-up feed water. Due to its age, the system is to be replaced by an osmosis system with downstream electrodeionization (EDI) and mixed bed filter (as a police filter).
Our task is the design planning, the preparation of the permit application, the preparation of tender documents, the participation in the award of the contract, the design review and the construction supervision.
Study for the renewal of a water treatment plant
In the heating plant Garath, a full desalination plant is installed for the treatment of the additional feed water. The plant is to be replaced due to its age. It is to be examined whether the plant should be realized again as an ion exchanger plant or as an osmosis plant with downstream electro deionization (EDI).
Our task is the elaboration of the above-mentioned study.

For a new data center in Brandenburg, the preparation and submission of building applications in accordance with the state building regulations and the Federal Immission Control Act (BImSchG) are required.
We support the planning company from Great Britain in preparing the applications and communicating with the German authorities.

The operator of an RDF-cogeneration plant is planning to produce hydrogen and oxygen for a neighboring industrial company.
Our task is to create a concept plan including cost estimation.
AwSV-compliant design of an engine oil refueling area
The operator of a combined heat and power motor plant (CHP) has been instructed by the responsible authority to design the refueling area for engine oil and used engine oil in accordance with AwSV (Handling of substances hazardous to water).
Our tasks include planning the refueling area and the piping systems, preparing tender documents, preparing permit applications and overseeing implementation.
